How to play

Every ZomZam board is a list of at least twenty answers hidden behind one prompt. Your job is to find as many of them as you can before the clock runs out. It is not a quiz with one right answer — it is a hunt, and every hit is worth points.

Answers are graded by rarity. The first five obvious finds are worth 1 point each, the next layer 2 points, then 3 and 4 as you dig deeper, and the answers almost nobody thinks of are worth 5. Capitals, extra spaces and most simple plurals are forgiven, and common synonyms are accepted where the board allows them.

Unlimited mode has no clock. Play a board, share your result, then reload for a new one. Scores here are for practice only.

What is unlimited mode?

Unlimited mode gives you a random board from the ZomZam archive with no clock and no daily restriction. It is practice, so your score is not part of the daily result.

Can I look at the answers first?

You can — every board in the last 90 days has a public answer page. It is more fun to try the prompt first, then check what you missed.

How is the score counted?

Each board answer carries a rarity weight from 1 to 5. Every unique match you type adds its weight to your score.
