About ZomZam

ZomZam is a small, independent games site built around one idea: a two-minute daily ritual where the reward is curiosity rather than speed.

What we make

ZomZam Daily is a free browser game. Each UTC day we publish one prompt and a hidden board of at least twenty answers. Players type the answers they can think of before the clock runs out, and the rarer the answer, the more it scores. Hints, answer pages and a 90-day archive are published alongside the game.

How the boards are made

Every prompt and every answer board is written in-house. We start from categories that most people can picture — a kitchen drawer, ocean animals, capital cities — then build the answer list by hand, ranking each answer for how likely it is to be named. Public knowledge is our raw material; third-party quiz content is not.

Boards are reviewed before they go live. We check that the answers are real, that synonyms are accepted, that the difficulty curve is honest and that nothing on the board requires specialist knowledge or guesswork. Corrections from players are read and fed into future boards.

How it stays free

There is no paywall, no account and no energy meter. The site currently shows no advertising; if that changes, the privacy policy describes exactly what a third-party advertiser would be allowed to do, and the game area will stay uncluttered.

Who we are

ZomZam is run by a small independent team of writers and puzzle-makers. We publish one board per day because a daily game should fit inside a coffee break, not swallow an evening.
