Daily Games, One Prompt at a Time

A daily game is a small ritual: the same board for everybody, once a day, no grinding and no pay-to-win. ZomZam Daily is our take on that idea — one open-ended prompt, a hidden board of answers and two minutes to find as many as you can.

What makes a daily game worth coming back to

The best daily games share three things. First, a board small enough to finish and open enough that nobody finishes it the same way twice. Second, a fixed reset: everyone plays the same puzzle on the same day, so results are comparable and conversation is possible. Third, a fast round — a couple of minutes, not a couple of hours.

ZomZam Daily is built around all three. The prompt is a category almost anyone can picture, the board holds at least twenty answers, and the round is two minutes long. The twist is rarity scoring: the obvious answers are worth a single point, while the answers almost nobody thinks of are worth five. That rewards curiosity over typing speed.

There is no account, no energy meter and no advertising inside the game area. The daily board is free, the hints are free and the answers are published every day.

The four parts of ZomZam

Rarity scoring in plain English

Every answer on a board is assigned a weight from 1 to 5. Common answers — the ones that come to mind first — sit in the 1-point tier. Uncommon answers score 2, rare answers 3, epic answers 4, and legendary answers 5. Your round score is simply the sum of the weights of the unique answers you found.

This is why the game rewards patience. A player who types twenty ordinary answers can lose to a player who types six, including two deep cuts. It also keeps the board replayable: even after you finish a prompt, there is usually one more answer you never thought of.

Grading is forgiving on purpose. Capital letters, extra spaces, punctuation and most simple plurals are ignored, and where a board allows synonyms, they are accepted too. A guess counts once — repeating an answer or an alias will not score twice.
